sleepy sadhu!

Was in pondicherry a while back and saw this sadhu sleeping! couldn't resist taking a picture.

for those who haven't been there. you're missing something. Plz go now.

"It is a former French colony. It consists of four non-contiguous districts or enclaves and is named for the largest, Pondicherry.
The territory is currently undergoing a name change to the original name of the city, Puduchery meaning "new village" in the official
Tamil language. The French spelled it "Poudichéry", which is the closest French approximation to the Tamil pronunciation. At some point, the hand-written 'u' was mistaken for an 'n', and the misspelling stuck." - Wikipedia

and the men replied...

"While the men toiled night and day,
The women did nothing but conspire.
Inspite of having a whole day to inspire
the efforts of men, the women chose the other way.
And the men said "Hey, we can live with that"
Happy Womens' Day."

the sharepoint men and one woman!

And so put together, was our Share-Point site,
By the men with all their brains and might...
Impressing women with their many wise-cracks,
Spent all their time, patting each other's backs.
While the men were busy, admiring the work done,
The World moved on for women to cut the ribbon!

the very beginnings of the charter

When the name of the blog was chosen, chimera went and created the blog and, in her eagerness, failed to spot a little spelling mistake in the url. She typed "bartercharater" instead of "bartercharter". I logged into the blog this morning, saw the error, and went and created the blog with the correct name. This event or error assumes significance of gargantuan proportions because our blog's very existence is credited to it, and deserves special mention as the first post. Happy Blogging.
